FRANK, MAN, YOU’RE ALIVE
I SAW THIS HANDBAG MAN
IT LOOKED JUST LIKE YOU.
OH FRANK I’M SO RELIEVED.
okay so today I was at the mall and this girl walking in front of me and tripped and fell and instead of helping her up like a normal person would- I decided to make her feel less embarrassed and fall down too
but I guess another guy had the same idea because we fell at the same time
and then another person fell
and suddenly I was lying in the middle of an impromptu fainting mob and a lot of people were shouting
and the girl who’d originally fallen looked so fucking happy
EVERY TIME SOMEONE BRINGS UP THE LIBRARY OF ALEXANDRIA I GET SO ANGRY.
Because it got burned. All of that knowledge, lost forever.
The library was destroyed over 1000’s of years ago. The library consisted of thousands of scrolls and books about mathematics, engineering, physiology, geography, blueprints, medicine, plays, & important scriptures. Thinkers from all over the Mediterranean used to come to Alexandria to study. Most of the major work of civilization up until that point was lost. If the library still survived till this day, society may have been more advanced and we would sure know more about the ancient world.

Not only was [Roberto] Clemente a baseball player, he was also a Marine. Instead of playing winter ball in Puerto Rico during the 1958-59 off season like the rest of the league, Clemente enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, spending six years of military commitment as an infantryman. The rigorous conditioning and military training kept him in shape throughout the winter. Clemente remained in the Marine Corps until 1964, but this did not slow down his game. When the Pittsburgh Pirates started spring training for the World Series in 1964, however, the schedule conflicted with Clemente’s military commitment. The Pirates, supported by former state Senator John M. Walker, asked U.S. Senator Hugh Scott to consider Clemente for an early discharge so he would be able to participate in the World Series.

I’m attracted to intelligence. Not the book smart type of intelligence. I could care less whether you’ve gone to college or how much money you make because of it. I like intelligent conversations that make me think even hours after it’s ended. I soak up words from radical minds.
